We're all aware-for the most part-of the problems with obesity that our country faces. Something that might surprise you though, is how it got that way. We use 25 million barrels of oil a day. That goes to countless funds; such as gasoline, technology, and food. The food we go to McDonald's to get is unhealthy for many reasons. High salt content, raw meat that is not cooked at the proper temperature for the correct amount of time, high fat levels. Fears of Ecoli and and Diabetes are never on the minds of the consumers.
Which brings me to my next point: Consumer knowledge. The food companies that give us our so called "food" practically lie to us. They don't tell you where your food comes from now do they? No, they don't tell you about the terrible conditions that they put their animals in. They literally have an entire floor for the slaughter of the food you deem a delicacy. They feed it corn, rather then grass. They genetically mutate the animals to make them bigger and stronger with larger portions of the meat that people want most.
My third and final point, which is for the Economy itself. Why would you feed children this? Why would you purposely ruin the lives of billions for a profit? Answer: Because they simply do not care. The more sick people there are, the more money doctors make. The more money that the doctors make, the higher the insurance rates; because people are sick and need more coverage. The food companies know that with all of this, most Americans haven't very much money to spend on healthy food, so they make the unhealthy food cheaper, which makes people want to buy it more.

"Tsunami, volcano eruption strike Indonesia."
The title of this article is "Tsunami, volcano eruption strike Indonesia." It was written (and published) by John Nedi on the morning of Tuesday, October 26, 2010. The event obviously took place near Indonesia, though the triggering earthquake was actually 13 miles beneath the ocean floor of Sumatra's inland coast. The fault that was guilty for this quake, also caused the 2004 quake.
The article basically talks about the after damage of the quake. The [ten foot] Tsunami that struck the coast, killing 113 people and counting was merciless in its quest for destruction. Destroying hundreds of homes and causing severe damage to those still standing. The volcano Mount Merapi began to erupt at dusk on Tuesday. Scientists warned that it's eruption [the pressure building inside the lava dome] could trigger one of the most dangerous, explosive eruptions in years.
There are quite a few effects from the main cause of the horror. The earthquake. Such as the loss of life, the families that are now homeless. How much will it cost to repair all those homes? What about the repairing of the hearts that are surely falling to pieces? One little earthquake can do a lot of damage, can't it? Earth, Water, and Fire. Three destructive and productive elements that were quickly turned on those people. How soon until they turn on us?
The location of the fault line, when it's anger radiated through the sea, causing a reaction of the title wave AND the volcano eruption. It all goes back to the fault, doesn't it? It wasn't so much the fault itself that caused the aftermath. It was the placement of the fault. If it was out in the middle of the ocean, would it have done the same damage?
